Who We Serve
The heart of Strength International is to provide any and every missionary with unbiased, biblically sound, therapeutic support, regardless of financial means. Strength International runs off of donations from both missionaries and individuals who align with the heart and vision of providing missionaries with every opportunity to be healthy on and off the field.
At Strength International we provide support for individual missionaries, couples and families at every stage of the missions journey. This means in help preparing for a short or long term missions trip, connecting while on the missions field for however long needed, and providing support upon return or while on furlough.
Preparation
Missionaries may seek support in preparation for their trip, weather it is their first missions experience or they are well versed. Topics such as grief, fear, anticipating change, leaving loved ones, financial stressors, home stressors, spiritual attacks, doubt, anxiety, depression, etc can be helpful to process before embarking.
On The Field
Missionaries may seek support while on their trip or while in their host country. Topics such as culture shock, adjusting, team conflict, feeling disconnected, loneliness, trauma, anxiety, depression, fear, burn out etc. can be helpful to process while on the grounds.
Upon Return
Missionaries may seek support while on furlough or upon return from their trip. Topics such as reverse culture shock, adjusting, frustrations, feeling disconnected, loneliness, trauma, anxiety, depression, fear, confusion, etc. can be helpful to process while in home country.
Our services
Individual
Individual therapy is for a person looking for growth and support concerning a topic that they are interested in working through.
Couples
Couples counseling is for married spouses or dating couples to be in session together. This can be when the couple is on the missions field together or when one member is or has been on the missions field and the other has remained in the home country.
Families
Family therapy is for parents and children to be in session together. Therapy sessions may start with all family members together and may also include sessions with just parents and just children. This can include family members who have been on the missions field together and those who have not yet experienced missions.
